The Power of Three: A Pathway to Holistic Health and Wholeness

Health and healing, at their core, are not linear. They don’t follow a single path or tidy timeline. Instead, they spiral — moving through layers of body, mind, and spirit, revisiting old wounds with new awareness. True transformation asks us to hold the paradoxes: to be both witness and participant, whole and becoming.

This week's blog is inspired by a recent episode of The Great Connect podcast, where Carrie Allen (founder of The Human Array) sat down with Catalysts Nic Choren Pavick and Ruth Bezzina to explore a more expansive approach to health and heaing through their work with Cosmic Twister Moon Circles — sacred gatherings that blend astrology, mythology, and embodied practice.
Their conversation opened up a rich exploration of what it means to heal in a multidimensional, integrated, and deeply human way.
Integration Through The Power of Three
At the heart of this approach lies a simple yet profound idea: The Power of Three. More than a mystical number or symbolic pattern, it offers a living framework for healing, transformation, and wholeness.
In a world that often urges us to choose sides — logic or intuition, science or spirit, self or other — the Power of Three invites us into the sacred space between. It reminds us that healing isn’t about eliminating one side of the equation, but about integrating the many facets of our experience into a more complete, embodied truth.
This sacred triad: body, mind, spirit; past, present, future; self, other, witness — reflects the interconnectedness of all things.

I like having the notion of the observer there — to create that sense of multiple perspectives and possibility. —Ruth Bezzina
The observer — the sacred third — allows us to witness our own patterns without judgment. To hold space for complexity. To expand our capacity to see from multiple vantage points, rather than reacting from one fixed identity.

Redefining Holistic Health
In the dominant wellness narrative, health is often reduced to performance: the number of steps walked, pounds lifted, or supplements taken. But true wellness isn’t about optimizing isolated parts of the self. It’s about honoring the whole human experience: physical, emotional, mental, social, energetic, and spiritual.
This more expansive view of health asks different questions. Not just: How do I feel? But: What is my body trying to tell me? Not just: What should I fix? But: What wants to be integrated, understood, and tended to with care?
It’s a shift from treating symptoms to cultivating wholeness. From outsourcing authority to reclaiming inner wisdom. From separating science and spirit to allowing them to work together — as allies in the healing process.
This approach doesn’t deny the value of clinical care. It simply recognizes that no single modality can address the fullness of what it means to be well. Healing, as many are now realizing, is rarely linear or one-dimensional.

And as we walk that path, healing becomes less about chasing outcomes — and more about listening: To the body. To the moment. To the intelligence that lives inside the very systems we’re learning to trust again.
Holistic health, in this way, becomes an act of remembering: that we are not just bodies to be managed, but beings to be cared for. That wholeness is not something we earn — it’s something we return to.

Story as Medicine
One of the most powerful tools for this kind of healing is story. Whether it comes through myth, personal narrative, or oral tradition, storytelling gives shape to our inner world.
In a world that often demands certainty and logic, story invites mystery and meaning. It doesn’t ask us to solve, but to feel. To remember. To connect with something ancient and intimate — the universal threads that run through every human experience.
Story is medicine. It taps into memory, into something deeply nurturing. —Ruth Bezzina
And because stories are shared, they also create belonging. They weave us into the collective. They remind us that we are not alone in our struggles or longings. That others have walked the path before us — and left behind wisdom in the form of metaphor, symbol, and tale.
Storytelling isn't just reflective — it’s regenerative. It becomes part of the healing process itself. Whether we're working through grief, navigating change, or seeking deeper meaning, story becomes a balm. A bridge. A place to begin again.

The Necessity of Community and Safe Spaces
Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s not a solo pursuit or a private project to be completed behind closed doors.
Deep healing asks to be witnessed. It calls for connection — not in a performative way, but in a real, raw, human way.
Nothing happens alone. We need to do it together, to be witnessed, to feel safe, to feel held. —Nic Choren Pavick
Safe spaces — the real kind, not the curated kind — are rare and sacred. They’re places where masks can come off, where no one is asking you to be more than you are, and nothing about you needs to be edited, improved, or explained.
These aren’t spaces for fixing or performing. They’re spaces for being. For breaking down and breaking open. For laughing through tears. For holding someone’s hand through the in-between.
In these containers, something powerful happens. The nervous system softens. The heart opens. The story shifts. Not because someone gave you the answer, but because someone gave you the space.
Come as you are. You’re a work in progress, and you’re already there. It’s all good. —Ruth Bezzina
Community, when rooted in authenticity and care, becomes a kind of medicine all its own. It reminds us that we don’t have to carry it all alone. That we were never meant to. And that sometimes, the most healing thing of all is simply being seen — exactly as we are.

Bringing Intention to Everyday Life
Sacredness isn’t confined to rituals or special occasions. It’s woven into the way we make our tea, the way we speak to ourselves, the way we tend to our bodies and spaces. When we bring intention into the everyday, the ordinary becomes a site of reverence.
Whatever we do, even if it's exercise, even if it's cooking... Anything that we do in the mundane as well as the creative world can be made so much more beautiful if it's done with intention. —Ruth Bezzina
It’s not about making everything perfect. It’s about infusing presence into the process. Choosing to slow down. To breathe. To infuse even the smallest actions with care. And in doing so, turning routine into ritual.
This is the essence of true self-care. Not a checklist of practices to master, but a quiet devotion to how we move through life. It’s a way of remembering that every moment holds the potential to reconnect us with ourselves, with the earth, and with what matters most.

Choosing Yourself, Again and Again
Ultimately, healing begins with a choice. Not a grand, once-in-a-lifetime decision, but a quiet, repeated act of self-honoring. Again and again, we choose to return to ourselves. To soften toward what’s true. To show up: messy, real, and becoming.
We’re here to polish ourselves together. These little gemstones then fit together. —Nic Choren Pavick
This choice isn’t always easy. It asks us to claim the spaces where we feel safe enough to be seen in our wholeness — not just in our strength or wisdom, but in our tenderness, our doubt, our still-becoming.
To choose yourself is to reclaim your voice. Your pace. Your rhythm. It’s the moment you stop waiting for permission and remember that you get to lead your own becoming.
This isn’t about getting it right or becoming someone new. It’s about integrating all the parts of you that were never broken — just waiting to be included. It’s about trusting that the path of healing, while deeply personal, is never one you have to walk alone.

Weaving Timeless Transformation
We are living through a collective threshold. A moment that feels both ancient and entirely new. In astrology, this is known as the anaeretic degrees — the final few degrees of a sign before a planet shifts into unfamiliar territory. It’s a symbolic turning point, marking the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
We're weaving our becoming... We're weaving fate. —Ruth Bezzina
In this liminal space, we’re being asked to pause. To reflect. To release what no longer fits, and to open to what we cannot yet fully see. It’s a space of uncertainty, yes, but also of immense creative potential.
We’re building into the unknown. We’re coming into a new space of dimensionality. —Nic Choren Pavick
This kind of transition doesn’t follow a roadmap. It asks for presence, trust, and a willingness to let go of the old narratives that have defined us. It invites us to engage with healing not as a final destination, but as a lifelong unfolding — one woven through intention, community, and courage.
Because true transformation isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about remembering who we already are — and daring to live from that place, together.
