Unlocking Nature's Secrets: Game-Changing Life Hacks for Health, Happiness, and Success. PLUS: Our Favorite High-Tech Product Recommendations to Bridge the Gap

Updated: Sep 13

Imagine a world where humans use technology exclusively for good.

In Indianapolis last week, at Rally, the largest cross-sector innovation conference in the world, we got a front-row seat to a whole lot of that good.

We were honored to be invited and deeply inspired by the people we met. Visionaries, creators, leaders, changemakers. People who think and see things differently. (Like us!)

It was so fun to get to share a taste of The Human Array with them.

And the response was awesome. People are hungry for what we’re doing here: personalized self-development, bringing holistically-minded practitioners and clients together, and true community.

To help you reach your highest potential in life and business.

So what was our big message for this impressive group of thought leaders, disruptors, and entrepreneurs? (Hint: It applies universally…)

Take care of you, the original and highest form of technology.

Long before the first stone tool, bow and arrow, controlled fire, or irrigation system, there was man – and there was nature. (When you think about it, we’re actually one and the same.)

And as much as we’ve, consciously or unconsciously, separated ourselves from one another, nature continues to offer some of the best and original all-natural, totally free life hacks (or "best practices", shall we say) for health, happiness, and success out there. Things like:

Still, there are times when nature is less accessible. When time, location, or physical limitations make it difficult to “plug in” to the natural world. We’re so thankful for the technology that helps us stay well and the brilliant minds that make that technology possible.

At Rally, we got to share the best of both worlds...

Nature’s greatest “life hacks” – and some of our favorite products that brilliantly bridge the gap when nature’s gifts are harder to access.

And we want to share them with you, too, by way of the most common questions we hear about each of them.

Ready? Let’s dig in…

What is true hydration?

Most people think staying hydrated means drinking 8 glasses of water a day, but “true hydration” means so much more.

It’s drinking clean, “structured” water, tending to your mitochondria, understanding EZ “exclusion zone” water, minding your minerals, eating your hydration, breathing through your nose, intentional movement, and minimizing artificial blue light and wireless radiation.

There’s a lot to explore here, we know. But let’s just start with the basics. Of course, it would be amazing to get your naturally-structured water (with built-in minerals) from a pristine local spring, but most of us don’t have access to that kind of thing.

Instead, try eating your hydration (fruits and veg with high water content, think: cucumbers, watermelon, lettuce, tomatoes), or give this simple salty limeade drink a go. A little citrus with a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt can help provide the right balance of structured water and minerals your body craves. [1]

Salty Limeade

  • Juice of  ½  to 1 full lime

  • 12 oz of filtered water

  • ⅛ to ¼ tsp Celtic Sea Salt

We love Greenfield Water Solutions for clean, quality, life-giving water. Use code HUMAN for 10% off your purchase.

Featured at Rally: One of our favorite tools for structuring your water at home and on the go is Natural Action's Cobalt Blue Portable Water Revitalizer.

Hydration is about so much more than drinking 8 glasses of water a day.

Is “grounding” a real thing?

Next time you feel depleted, tired, anxious, stressed, inflamed, or even mad, try going outside, taking your shoes off, and standing barefoot on the ground for 20 minutes.

How does it work? The earth's surface is covered in an infinite supply of negatively-charged electrons, brilliantly-designed to offset the buildup of positive charge (a well-established sign of inflammation) in the human body. [2]

Imagine being able to plug in to a continuous stream of antioxidants whenever you like or need.

All you have to do is "ground" (or, quite literally, connect your body to the earth) for this instant exchange of energy with surprisingly far-reaching health benefits, from reducing cardiovascular risk to better sleep, improved mood, reduced pain, lowered stress and anxiety, improved wound healing, and more

Can’t get outside, or need a little extra support while you’re working inside all day? Try a trusted grounded mat or sheet.

Earthing or "grounding" is very real - and comes with surprising health benefits.

What is frequency healing?

Albert Einstein once described the human body as “slowed down sound and light waves” and “a walking bundle of frequencies”.

What frequency are you tuned to? And how do you shift your energy to, quite literally, “raise your vibration” when you’re feeling out of balance?

Frequency healing, sometimes referred to as "sound healing" or "vibrational healing", is a therapeutic modality that uses light, color, and sound frequencies to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Did you know something as simple (and beautiful) as birdsong can positively affect your mood and general well-being? It might seem obvious, but there’s fascinating frequency science behind it.  One of the many reasons a walk in nature feels so good after a long, stressful day. [3]

The LiFT Machine

At Rally, visitors to our booth got to book a session in the LiFT (Let It Flow Therapy) machine, a next-level frequency brainchild of Gail Lynn (creator of the Harmonic Egg and one of our wonderful Catalysts inside The Human Array) that uses light, color, sound, and sacred geometry to “re-tune” unbalanced frequencies and support your body’s innate capacity for healing.

The LiFT is especially unique because it’s designed for personal, at-home use.

Featured at Rally: Did you know you can buy the LiFT machine we featured at Rally? Hello whole-home energy upgrade! If you’re interested, reach out to sarah@thehumanarray.com. Or buy directly through the Harmonic Egg's website, and be sure to mention us if you do.

What’s the best exercise for optimal health?

Mindful movement helps keep your mind clear, batteries charged, and body resilient.

But the better questions here are:

  • How do you like to practice mindfulness? Do you have a meditation practice? A moment of stillness to sit, breathe, and quiet the mind? Even just a few minutes can change your whole day. And don't worry if it feels funny at first. It's called a "practice" for a reason. It can take some time to find your groove, but once you do, it's hard to stop. Just getting started?

Featured at Rally: Try this simple meditation cushion and mat combo.

We’re also big fans of the beautiful all-natural cork mats, meditation cushions, yoga props, and more from Scoria. Use code “thehumanarray10” for 10% off.

  • And how do you like to move? Because the best kind of exercise is the kind you’ll do. The kind that feels good to you. A walk in nature, dancing with friends (or by yourself, of course), playing with your kids, going for a surf. It all counts.  And if you need something fast, easy, effective, and free, try "the four-minute workout". (Give it a Google.) All the benefits. No gym required. To help you bring, do, and be your best – day in and day out.

Our favorite electrolytes for post-mindful movement? We love Superieur.  Featured at Rally: This non-toxic foam mat, perfect for adults and kiddos alike.

What’s the deal with red light therapy?

It’s not just red light. From infrared to red, UVA, UVB, and everywhere in between, each of the natural frequencies of light offers its own unique health benefits. And they’re freely available to you every day – rain or shine, in varying amounts and intensities, depending on the time of day and where you live in the world.

Where to begin? One of the biggest needle-movers when it comes to getting your “light hygiene” right is exposing your skin and naked (no glasses or contacts) eyes to morning light. This simple practice takes minutes to do and helps establish (or re-establish) a healthy circadian rhythm, which ripples into just about every aspect of your health.

Also known as “photobiomodulation”, red light therapy (RLT) uses specific wavelengths of red light to support the body in a variety of ways – from better sleep to healthier skin, muscle recovery, cellular health, pain, inflammation, the microbiome, and more. A trusted red light therapy device can be an invaluable tool to have on hand. [4]

One of our favorite red light therapy devices is from hooga. And if you’re looking for red light therapy and a whole lot more (blue-blocking glasses, healthy light for your home, etc.), we love Block Blue Light.

How important is human connection?

Collectively, we grow and thrive in ways we simply could not achieve alone.

– Robin Thomas, The Human Array Catalyst

As humans, we’re wired for connection – and the extent to which we experience healthy connection and community has a whole host of health impacts, from body mass index (BMI) to cancer survivability, blood sugar, cardiovascular mortality, mental health, and more. [5]

More than ever, it’s clear that people need safe spaces to see and be seen.

Our very health, happiness, and future depend on it. And it’s the reason we built The Human Array, a first-of-its-kind double-sided marketplace for self-development.
